McCoy De Leon Makes His Movie Debut in 'INSTALADO' Trailer

At long last, the trailer for INSTALADO dropped this week, and it looks interesting. Starring McCoy de Leon, Jun Jun Quintana & Francis Magundayao, INSTALADO is a Filipino indie sci-fi film which will be shown from July 12-18, 2017 along with the other ToFarm Film Festival 2017 entries in the following cinemas: Gateway Mall, Robinsons Galleria, SM Megamall, Greenbelt 1 and SM Manila.

The official poster (Justin Besana)

Written and directed by Jason Paul Laxamana (The Third Party, Pwera Usog, & Mercury is Mine), the movie follows the character of Victor (McCoy de Leon) who lives in a time when the dominant form of education is through installation, a process wherein bodies of knowledge can be installed directly on people's brains using technology owned by big corporations. However, like many others in the agricultural town of Porac, Victor cannot afford the sky-high cost of installation, which he believes is the key to improve his family's life. To raise money for installation, Victor abandons farming and works as the housekeep of a wealthy childhood friend who has become extremely successful after undergoing a series of installations.

It also stars Archie Adamos, Joel Saracho, Barbara Miguel, Jay Garcia, Cecile Yumul, Liya Sarmiento, and Kim Duenas. Watch the official trailer below
